how to engage launch contol???

hi guys, i just had the 2k break in service (in canada) and i've been dying to try the launch control except that for the life of me i cannot engage it!!!
i've followed step by step the manual procedure but it just doesn't work for me.

here's what i do:

- everything to sport plus
- gear changes to S3
- DSC completely off
- i put it on manual mode
- press on the break
- move the shift lever forwrard
(at this point the manual is telling me that i should see a checkered flag appear on my dashboard) but i don't see it!!!
and as soon as i press the gaz, the car moves instead of just revving.

Has anyone been able to launch it successfuly? If so, can i have your input please??

thanks!

I think the key items I had to do we're to make sure dsc is off. It isnt just a single push button, you have to
Hold it down for a few seconds. The mdm light has to go away.

Second it's very very light pressure in the brake pedal, barely enough to just activate the brake lights if you wanna practice.

Try that.
Once you get the flag the rpm hold is adjustable via the cruise control level

Since then I've programmed the m2 button to have dsc all the way off so now to engage lc I just have to hit m2 and hold the shifter forward and brake .

Did you do your 1200 mile break in service. Also when first starting your car you must be at proper operating temp and have driven for several miles to first engage it. Once the car is warm and has been driven you should be fine.
