Group drive May 18/19

We've had some interest for a group drive the weekend of May 18 and 19 so this thread is to finalize plans. The poll will help us determine best which day and route people can do but the actual plans may depend on weather. Please vote and then post up how firm you are or if you really don't care when/where we go.

Drive to Liberty Bell takes about 3 hrs one way
Drive to Leavenworth takes about 2.25 hrs one way

For mobile users who can't see the poll:
1) Saturday May 18 drive to Liberty Bell, North Cascades
2) Sunday May 19 drive to Liberty Bell, North Cascades
3) Saturday May 18 drive to Leavenworth
4) Sunday May 19 drive to Leavenworth
5) Either route as long as it's on May 18
6) Either route as long as it's on May 19
7) Either day, but Leavenworth only
8) Either day but Liberty Bell only

Anyone is welcome as long as they don't drive recklessly. Everyone should drive within their limits. The purpose of the drive will be to enjoy the performance of our cars in a safe and responsible group.

I voted either route on the 19th but really I'm open for anything. Liberty Bell will likely be the better driving experience.

I also voted either route on May 19. I have a work conflict on the 18th. Should be fun.

Hoping for a good turnout. Thanks for creating the separate thread.

I'd love to do a drive up to Leavenworth. I've never come along to one of these.

Forecasts are certainly pretty iffy right now for both days. If it's raining both days, we'll call it off and reschedule another time. Our very small consensus on the poll shows sunday being the better day for people. Going to Leavenworth will probably reveal more sun than going up north to Hwy 20 and for those of us who maybe want a longer drive, returning via Hwy 97 (Blewett) and I-90 is a decent option.

So for now, plan on a Leavenworth drive this Sunday with option to return on a loop. Departure time will probably be around 10am with meetup at Northgate Mall.

Post up if you would be in for this drive if weather is decent.
EDIT: Decent weather meaning mostly dry roads.

I live fairly close to Hwy 2, so I would just meet you guys in Monroe some place...it would be backtracking for me to go from Monroe to Northgate and then back through Monroe again.

Hmm. 3 days and counting and only 3 of us so far? I thought we had more interest. No matter, I'm still going even if it ends up just me. Weather forecast is looking good now.

Looks like rain in the forecast for Sunday now too.

Looks like Transfer and I are confirmed (assuming the weather holds)

The plan is to meet at 10:30 at Fresh & Fancy Doughnuts in Monroe.

19983 State Route 2
Monroe, WA

Are you in? 3 is a good number for a cruise IMO.

Is that place still open? I thought they shut down? (maybe they re-openned under new ownership). There is a Starbucks in the same complex (Albertson's parking lot). If this joint isn't open, lets meet at the Starbucks in the same lot)

Haha not sure. Either spot works for me. Starbucks preferred but I thought that was not on the eastbound side of Hwy 2.
