Can someone set the record straight on the N54 Canadian warranty?

My understanding is that the fuel pump warranty was extended in Canada, but we did not get the extended warranty on the turbos like the US did. Is this correct?

And if so, does this pretty much kill the idea of getting an out of warranty N54 135i here? It seems really risky with the turbo replacement cost being astronomical.

I've heard in the USA they extended warranty on wastegates but haven't heard if it's same here.

They did for BMW North America which is only the US, The extended warranty does not apply to Canada.

That being said I asked my dealer about this and they have replaced turbos on a number of N54s on a case by case basis under warranty.

I ask my dealer about this as well. my SA response, "guess the U.S guys didn't build their 1 series properly." LOL. I know Canadian version of cars have slightly different specs such as more impact reinforcement but I don't know how much of what he said I can trust. Luckily my 135i is holding up very well. Clutch still holds it's gears well, no issues with power lose and no wastegate rattle. Hopefully it holds up for a couple more years since my warranty is up this Sept. Fingers-crossed though!

What I'm told is, there was extended warranty for the old pump. But not for the one which they had the recall on, which supposedly fixes it for good...

Aside from the fact that my car had CEL on the last day of warranty... In shop for a week already and they replaced HPFP and waiting for Injectors to arrive from Germany... which I'm told is another 2 weeks....
