Brakes
Trying to do my homework before they are up.
Who has replaced their brakes already? Our Canadian versions do we just need rotors, pads, sensor and sensor clip? I was thinking of upgrade the rotors to EBC Ultimax Slotted Rotors with cool carbon or EBC green stuff pads, if anyone has any experience please let me know. Thanks a bunch!

Thanks.
Any idea about the OE brake shims? I drive slightly aggressive so would EBC redstuff be better? Thanks.

I think if you don't replace with OEM rotors you will need to have your DSC/DTC reprogrammed for it to work properly. I had to do the same when I went to the BMW Performance Brake Kit on my 128i.

Thanks, I believe as long as I keep with the stock sizing I do not have to worry about reprogramming.

Just had my front brake components replaced to new - my previous bmw performance rotors wore down to a point where the slots were starting to disappear. Did not experience any pulsing when braking, but was squeaking a lot.
Replaced with Zimmerman (Z-Coating) blanks with Stoptech Street Performance pads. Have yet to fully complete bedding process, but right out of the box, there are no squeaking whatsoever and initial bite is already 95% of OEM feel. Found out OEM pads are made by Textar |

Also, I came across this, which added to my confusion about which rotor and pad to pick up. I would prefer less dust compared to the noise. I was kind of set on the EBC redstuff paired with the EBC sport rotors. But maybe greenstuff and Ultimax is a better bet. Thanks
