N55 engine problem

Hi guys, just bought my 135m 2012 1 month ago. I've bought an bms intake that I've installed 2 week ago. This morning was the third time the car does this...

Yeah I'm from Quebec, so temperature is cold.. -13 Celsius tho morning.. Started the car with push button, the rpm goes 1500 tour, but them shut up and car staled... Start it again, same thing... Another time, but this time, I've try to give some gaz, but car wasn't able to respond.. Staled again. The fourth time work... Rpm goes 1500tour, them come back to normal couple second after.. Wich I know is normal.

But my question is, why does the car stall. It's almost new, is it because of the intake? Cold temperature it's not cold enough outside...

Help?

when you push the start button does it crank for awhile before it starts? im not sure what it could be HPFP or starter going is my guess? but im not sure

Nop, car start immediately. It's like if there was not enough gaz, or not enough air to start.. Car has 17,000km. But it appear only after I've install the intake..

If it started when the intake was installed, double check the install.

+1 double check those clamps and let us know if that corrects your issue

yesterday morning. Try to start the car, took me 4 time to keep it started, then car is running so bad... Check engine.. I took the car on the road anyway... Made 2min ride.. Still running bad.. Then I stop the car and restart it, everything was fine!

Get back to Home, took off intake and reinstall it to make sure it was correctly install... Then took the negative of the car for 5min to reset everything.. And restart the car.. This morning took 2 times for the car to start, but running well... But now I got a service required, ccid 415 wich is for the battery discharge or bad connection...

Wtf! Lol

Just put the old intake on. For one thing you'll be able to check the install and for another you'll determine for sure if the intake caused the problem. If you get the old intake on and still have the problem then the dealer can fix it. Only takes 10 minutes to change the intake.

Well this morning, the car started well, and everything was fine. I removed the intake and reinstalled it correctly.. Will look if tomorrow morning the car still turn off or not, I'll let you know

Could be fuel injectors. Bad injectors tend to get worse when the engine is cold but will run fine once warmed up.

That's starting to sound like injectors or coils. I'm not sure the n55 HPFP quality compared to the n54 but similar symptoms.

Maybe.. I havent removed intake yet.. Too cold outside to remove it haha but I will do it soon.

I think you should have took it to the dealer while the code was still stored

Probably.. But after reinstallating intake and took off negatif, the car is running good.. Only 1 morning if started, run 30sec.. Them shut down because rpm goes to low. Restart it, and everything was fine.

For one thing you'll be able to check the install and for another you'll determine for sure if the intake caused the problem. If you get the old intake on and still have the problem then the dealer can fix it. Only takes 10 minutes to change the intake.
