Help! Did something stupid

Just cleaned and re-oiled my AA green filter and when I was reinstalling I accidentally dropped my screwdriver into the engine bay! It's wayyyy down there and there is no way I can reach it. I'm so mad at myself. What should I do?

This.

If you can't see it, attempt to pull some of the under shrouds and feel around.

Long magnet as suggested or start taking bottom covers off until you get to it.

I'll def try the magnet idea!

If for some reason I still can't get it...is it safe to drive? I would go straight to a shop tomorrow morning.

Depends on if it actually dropped down to the bottom trays or if maybe it's wedged in a pulley or alternator.

I dropped a screw once changing my filter. I was able to get at it through the left wheel well. It was resting on the bottom plate. There is a gap down there, take a look but it's not big enough to pull a screwdriver through. It might help you locate it though. Good luck, that does suck.

Got a magnet but it fell off on the way up and now I can't find it. I don't have a jack/lift so no way of getting under the car. Any way I can access the engine floor area another way?

Could go buy jack since every car owner needs one anyway. Or borrow?

You should be able to pull off the felt covers on the front without getting under the car. Maybe you can see the screwdriver that way.

I have a LED lit mirror on a telescoping rod. It works great for locating things. Once located, using the magnet to get it should be a snap. Good luck.
