New PPK / New exhaust / New 19's
Just got my car started and super happy with the ppk and exhaust. Can definitely feel added power but most of it is felt in sport mode and overall responsiveness is much better. I was worried about the exhaust because my stock sounded so good but could not be happier with how it turned out. Anyone know if the BMW air intake for sure wont work from the 128? Seems funny you can't get one for a 2011 135i...Also, opinions on the carbon fiber BMW spoiler vs what I have now?
I would recommend the ppk and exhaust for anyone wanting to keep their warranty. I might forget about the power in a month but its still there and that is what really counts. Luckily I got mine for cost so wasn't absolutely horrible on the wallet but I cant understand how anyone would not want the burble of a BMW performance exhaust...beats everything! What wheels exactly did you get? They look really nice man. Any rubs or changes in your suspension?

PPK + PE is a killer combo. I don't need more power than the car has stock but I would get it purely because of less messed up software settings, throttle response is bad and the PPK seems to help that
The CF spoiler is a must, makes the trunk way hotter.

Since I've only had time behind the wheel of an is, I never actually wondered what the i feels like without all of the power kit and exhaust bits. I had no idea why people were so interested in getting aftermarket exhausts, at first, because I assumed it sounded roughly the same as the standard exhaust.
The exhaust does sound amazing, though. Never was really into exhaust "notes," but it clicked when I first heard the burble while lifting my right foot with the windows down. Glad that such is the case- means less time spent shifting through the aftermarket offerings to find something right. It ain't broke, so I'm not fixing it. But, yes, the trunk is completed by the deck spoiler. The most important part of this whole thing - did you make sure to secure yourself a set of genuine stickers announcing "Performance" to anyone who peeks beneath the hood?! Remaps, exhausts, and stickers. |

yeah def is completely different. I might just install something if I can't find a "no hassle" one to uninstall.
the wheels are VMR v810's in gunmetal. I have 265/30/19 in the back with sport suspension and not a single rub. it's basically a perfect fit. thinking about the performance suspension as well and I wouldn't have any problems going 10mm lower, I don't think. thought about the bbs but just so much more expensive and I don't care about flashing logos, I'd like to keep it as clean as possible. these are supposed to be much stronger than the normal VMR's so fingers crossed for no bending. I live in the city and there are a million pot holes after me. I might even put the old tips back on. the black chrome goes better with my car colors...the performance tips just look too off. think you all have sold me on the cf spoiler just by saying to get it. figure that will also require me to build up all the other CF components after that. I keep reading about everyone saying that the ppk gets better with age? I mostly drive city miles and this is my first weekend to take it out and let loose. if I drove nothing but city miles for the next 500 miles is that goin to adversely affect the way the chip "learns" my car? |

What did you pay for the PPK if I might ask? What dealer too?
