The smoker's package is probably just an ashtray and seatbelt delete.

I am not getting CCB, parking assist, driver assist plus package, sunroof. I do add back the side and top view cameras.

Options not included on my M4 order:

X3SW - Full Merino Leather Upholstery
(I couldn't really justify spending £2915 on "Full" leather given that you get the white contrast stitching with "Extended" as standard + The stitching on the dash and door tops is black which is at odds with the white contrast stitching everywhere else + It looks like it's simply been glued over the top of the standard dash material)

Probably quicker for me to quote which options I took rather than which ones I have not .

I would have taken some of these options individually (HUD and HBA for example), but since they are part of packages, I am not willing to pay the big bucks to get stuff I don't want.

I am still on the fence about DCT. It is on my order for now, but I am not fully convinced yet.

You are correct in stating that the stitching for the full leather on the upper door panels and passenger side dash is black. However, the stiching on the driver's side dash (around the cluster) and on/around the glove compartment is contrasting.

I am with you though, +$2500 CAD for full leather is not worth it for me.

The rest will be on. The way i see it i am planning to keep the car for 6 years at least. The option will add to the resale value so i am really paying few cents per day to enjoy this car with all the features it has. I have been saved by the safety features on lane merge so if it saves me a claim on my insurance and a deductable i think it will pay for it self. The camera and suround view i think will save me few scatches and will pay for itself for sure. I am a very good driver and know how to park but i cant say having those sensors and cameras never saved me from a bump or a scratch.

Now i will for sure get some CF goodies when they are released to spice it up.

I think they changed that. On black full and extended merino, there is no longer white/silverstone contrast stitching anymore/anywhere.
Instead, they are all black now.

All this talk on 8TH lately... and I see you have it specifically excluded. Is the Canadian ordering guide different from the US one in that way?

My understanding (for the US) is that 8TH comes as part of the Drivers Assistance package - of which I don't really want any other components.

Does that mean I can skip the Drivers Assistance package and just at 8TH on its own?

BMW UK have confirmed the contrast stitching (small update: it's actually light grey rather than white) as per my post on the Contrasting Silver Stitching thread:

The packages are somewhat different for Canada as well as the base features (e.g. the HK stereo is standard in Canada). I think BMW likes to mix things up like this to avoid allegations of cross-border price discrimination. So 8TH is am add on.

There is definitely some ambiguity regarding the contrasting stitching.
