Pantone colors for BMW tri-color 'flag'

Greetings,

Is there a specific Pantone color # reference for the tri-color BMW stripe ?

Wondering because I wanted to paint those same (exact) colors onto my new garage wall. Not a huge section of the wall, but over or near the shop bench area - is this stupid though ? Wondering if I will be hassled by friends and family if I do this (kind of don't care though)..

I wouldn't quite call it a flag, you're referring to the M stripe?

Here you go

The three traditional and completely correct BMW Motorsport colors are:

Pantone Process Blue (PMS 859)
Pantone Violet (PMS 268)
Pantone Warm Red (PMS 836)

Some people choose a dark blue like Reflex Blue (PMS 852) to replace Violet 268 and a darker red.

BMW (approximate and/or accepted equivalent) colors:

Light Blue GLASURIT-BMW 5002
Blue Violet GLASURIT-BMW 4000
Red GLASURIT-BMW 353

Also, I fixed it - you are correct flag is not right - stripe is. Fixed in the original post.

Thank you for the Pantone #'s too - should have used the Google, but sometimes I get caught inside the 'bubble' of the M3 Post.com website - and never wanna leave

OK, I really need to get some work done today - been on the forums all day pretty much. Good thing my direct report does not drive a BMW and is a forum member...otherwise I'd be toast

Blue from the Bavarian Flag
Red from Texaco (from its early collaboration with BMW Motorsport)
Indigo/purple/violet from the red and blue combined
