M3 or 335?
So I'm currently driving a 2009 328i xdrive, auto. I want to get into something more powerful and am really looking for an M3 (2008 or newer), but I've seen a lot of similar-year 335's with a manual tranny and xdrive....I'll be using this car mostly for pleasure and the occasional autocross. would be interested in getting the forum's opinions? Also, what are your thoughts on sedan vs coupe? I really like the way the M3 Sedan looks...
Thank you guys and looking forward to the responses... |

What's the point in bumping a thread 14 minutes after posting? I can bet you just joined to troll the board.
As for what car, stick with your 328XDRIVE, obviously 4-wheel drive is A LOT better than a rear-wheel drive M3 that makes too much power and not enough torque. |

I've owned two 335i coupes with piggy backs. I've put over 124K miles on my M3. Until you drive a M3 you won't understand, need I say more?

Isn't the point of a forum to be able to get information from other members? Nice editing of my OP btw haha
I guess everyone has their own opinions on what they want..... the bottom line is I can afford to buy whatever I want and was looking for some info on what you guys thought based on your real-world experience... that's all |

Just so we're all on the same page: Can you define "trollin'"? Just want to make sure you're not just conforming to the general idea on every car forum that anyone who's looking for info is, as you say, "trollin".... It's quite amazing how people who have been on a forum for even a week feel some entitlement to call people out for looking for info (aka trollin)... so I'm just wondering what kind of definition you would give the act that you yourself did for probably the first 6 months before you saved up enough money to buy a bmw, and then for the months since then that you have tried to figure out what customizations you can make to your little buddy w/out breaking the bank...
oh, and please deposit any valuable comments to my OP. gracias! |

I had a 335xi and an M3. The awd was great in the snow but the M3 is better in every other respect.

If you have another vehicle then you shouldn't be worried about snow. I used my M3 in the snow here in the mountains with snow tires and did alright so if you have another vehicle then get the M for sure.
