Can you DIY replace a condensation sensor?

My understanding this sensor is located behind the rear view mirror.

I'm guessing when the new windshield got installed they probably just didnt bother installing it or re-inserted the one they ripped.

Do you guys think this is DIY-able?

Or something better left to a professional?

Getting the mirror off etc etc etc... Is no problem.

I'm just not too sure how it comes packaged from BMW.

Does it come with the "sticky" side?
