2011 M3...Should i pull the trigger?

good day all.... i currently have a 2008 135i with Sport package and all the usual M stuff. ive done a few mods and really enjoy the car as an everyday driver, it honestly puts a smile on my face whenever i drive her. being a previous M owner i feel that its lacking a little something though. im currently lusting over an e90 M3 and am seriously considering making the move.

has anyone here made the move to or from? does anyone have constructive opinions on why not to make the move? i obviously have put into consideration the price bump in regards to maintenance and mod prices too.

thanks in advance

Best to go and test drive one.
I've test driven a few and I have to agree it does feel a tad slower in daily driving

I have driven e9x m3's extensively and many of my friends have them. They are amazing cars.

Of course you will feel the difference in torque and the lowered mpg but you will get to enjoy the S65 and its glory as well as better suspension, LSD and a much higher quality interior and possibly the e90 with its 4doors will offer other practical advantages if your lifestyle demands.

If you have had and enjoyed the 1series for a while than an e90 m3 would be a nice change.

No. As much as some fanboys love the E9X, it was not a great DD. That's why I got a 135i over it (crazy talk I know). It was a blast to drive above 7/10th but it was boring the rest of the time (which was >90%)

I am stoked for the F8X and if you can wait/afford one, that's the route I would go.

That thing your car is lacking is a LSD. Once you get one you will never want to let go of your 135i.

Also, a RB turbo'd 135i is faster than an ESS superchargered E9X M3

tested the M3 before the 1er....hated the idea of under 20mpg virtually anywhere.....hated the lack of torque for what it was....and it just didn't seem that fun. go drive one for yourself though....there are good deals around for those 2ndhand.

Get a C63

You get both the torque and the intoxicating v8 sound... But be prepared to refuel often

Yea I considered a C63 a few weeks ago. It's an awesome car but sucked as bad as my previous e39 m5.
